Hey....
Here's the answer...
Question: Differentiate between true solution, collodial solutions , suspension ?
Answer:
True solutions-
1) It is homogeneous mixture.
2) they are transparent
3) they are the type of mixture, where the solute and solvent are properly mixed in the liquid phase.
4) size of the particles are <1nm
5) Do not show the Tyndall effect.
6) do not show the Brownian motion.
Example-sugar solution in water.
Colloidal solutions:
1) It is heterogeneous mixture
2) They are transculent
3) they are the type of mixture where the solute is uniformily disturbed .
4) size of the particle are 1-1000nm
5) shows Tyndall effect
6) shows browain motion
Example-starch dissolved in water.
Suspension:
1) It is heterogenous
2) they are opaque
3) they are the type of mixture , where the solute do not get dissolve rather get suspended in the liquid & float freely in the medium
4) size of the particles are>1000nm
5) shows Tyndall effect
6) shows browain motion
Example-soil dissolved in water..
Hope it helps
