Myxedema isn't automatically a comatose condition. Myxedema is hypothryoidism. Myxedema coma is a rare complication that results from severe hypothyroidism. The two are not one in the same.

Cretinism is congenital hypothyroidism, it's not a disease. It's a condition & it results from inadequate secretion of thyroid hormones during fetal life or early infancy. The brain and skeleton fail to develop properly, resulting in mental retardation and dwarfism.

And that's the difference.
