Answer:

Distinguish between cyclic and non cyclic photophosphorylation

Explanation:

cyclic photophosphorlation starts with the removal of electron from photosystem 1 on the other hand non cyclic photophosphorylation begins with the removal of electron from photosystem 2

In the cyclic photophosphorylation electron liberated from phptosystem 1 and finally return back to the same thats why this process is named so.On the other hand in noncyclic photophosphorylation the electron liberated from photosystem 2 finally reduces NADP TO NADPH.This process is also called Z scheme.

in cyclic photophorylation only phoyosystem 1 is involved but in non cyclic photophosphorylation both photosystem 1 and photosystem 2 are involved.

In cyclic photophosphprylation the ist electron carrier is Ferridoxin but in non cyclic photophosphorylation the ist electron carrier is pheophytin

Cyclic and Non-cyclic photophosphorylation:

  • Cyclic photophosphorylation is the process where there is cycling of electrons between different electron transporters and final acceptance of electrons by P700 of chlorophyll, with a production of ATPs.
  • But, in non-cyclic photophosphorylation, there is the shooting of electron by the photons which is finally accepted by the hydrogen of NADPH with subsequent production of oxygen.
  • In cyclic photophosphorylation, only "photosystem 1" is involved, but in non-cyclic photophosphorylation, both "photosystem 1 and 2" are involved.
