distance is the actuall path covered by a body.
displacement is the shortest distance.
1. on a straight line distance is equal to displlacement but if the object come to its origin then displacement is 0.
2 on a moving plane distance is the path covered by body +path travelled by plane but the displacement is the distnace covered by plane only .
