Mixture :
It is a substance which is made up of two or more elements or compounds not chemically combined together, e.g., Air, Milk, Ink, Sea-Water etc.

Difference Between Homogeneous and Hetrogeneous Mixture :—

Homogeneous Mixture :-
1. The constituents present are uniformly mixed and have no boundaries of separation.
2. The constituents cannot be easily seen.
3. The constituents cannot be easily seperated. Special methods are needed for the purpose.
4. Examples. Air, mixture of alcohol and water etc.


Hetrogeneous Mixture :-
1. The constituents may not be uniformly mixed and have clear boundaries of separation.
2. The constituents can be easily seen.
3. The constituents can be easily seperated.
4. Examples. A mixture of sugar and sand, A mixture of salt and sand, Mixture of iron filings and powdered sulphur etc.
