Those waves of frequency higher than 20hz are called ultrasonic sound, more than the human audible range
Those waves of frequency lesser than 20hz are called infrasonic sound, less than the human audible range

Infrasonic waves:
★ These are sound waves with frequency below 20 Hz that cannot be heard by human ear.
★ Eg: Waves produced during earthquake, ocean waves, sound produced by whales, etc..
Ultrasonic waves:
★ These are sound waves with frequency greater than 20 kHz. Human ear cannot detect these waves.
★ Waves produced by bats is the best example for Ultrasonic waves.
