Distinguish between plasma and serum.

➔ The main difference between serum and plasma is that serum is the protein-rich liquid, which separates out when blood coagulates whereas plasma is the liquid component of blood which holds blood cells in whole blood in suspension. Serum and plasma are two derivatives of blood which lack blood cells like red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
