1.When you open any application, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., you will find two windows on the screen. The larger window is called the Application window. This window helps the user to communicate with the application program.
The smaller window, which is inside the Application window is called the document window. This window is used for typing, editing, drawing, and formatting the text and graphics

2.Menu BAR is the one the TOP side when you click the mouse on it it scrawls down giving various options / buttons. ( Usually FILE, EDIT, VIEW, TOOLS etc on the top side)

Tool bar is the one which is having image icons in the bar ( It can be horizontal or vertical at one side)


3.status bar is a horizontal bar, usually at the bottom of the screen or window, showing information about a document being edited or a program running while formula bar is a  toolbar at the top of the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet window that you can use to enter or copy an existing formula in to cells or charts.

4.A workbook is an Excel file that contains one or more worksheets while An Excel worksheet is a single spreadsheet that contains cells organized by rows and columns.
