Motivations are the innermost drives that either encourages individual to practice and participate in a given activity.

Motivations are either negative or positive.

Positive motivations are factors that encourages an individual to continue doing a good behaviour.

For instance when a child is motivated by a reward because of performing well in an examination.

Negative motivation is a factor that increases the chances of a negative behaviour to occur.

A good example is when a thief succeeds in life by making it part of life.

Most individuals will get into the activity to prosper like the thief.
