Requires hot weather and a large amount of water to grow. Requires warm climate for seed germination and cold climate to grow. Cotton, groundnut, maize and rice are examples of Kharif crops. Barley, gram, peas and wheat are examples of Rabi crops.

  • Kharif crops are the crops which are sown at the beginning of the rainy season.
  • Ex: Paddy, Soyabean, Maize
