DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RETROTRANSPOSONS AND DNA TRANSPOSONS:

Transposons are small mobile DNA segments can change positions in the genome (in the same cell) and also able to replicate independently itself.Whereas the transposons which are first transcribed into a copy of RNA that is then reversely transcribe DNA. Those are known as “retrotransposons”.Transposons simply cut and paste its DNA segment during transposition whereas retrotransposons produce RNA intermediate. The enzyme requires for transposons is “transposase” whereas for retrotransposons is “reverse transcriptase”.
