✷It has limited carrying capacity

✷It requires limited capital investment in terms of construction of roads, vehicles and their maintenance

✷Recomded for short distance

✷Transport charges are not fixed high due to increasing fuel prices

✷It provides door to door service

✷It uses animals carts, motorcycle and three and four wheelers

✷Ownership is in the hand of private parties

✷It provide limited safety to goods form sun, rain ,wind,etc....

✷It uses passenger and goods train

✷Goods are kept in looked wagons which provides protection against the sun, wind, rain, etc...
