scalar quantities are the quantities with only magnitude i.e. the numerical value. whereas vector quantities are the quantities with magnitude and also direction.

rachit751: Current have direction but it is scalar
upaltheViper: if you go into the deeper definition of vectors which is the quantities that can ve operated under vector laws are called vector quantities but current though it has direction but it can't be operated under vector laws

SCALAR QUANTITY :
It is a one dimensional measurement of quantity like temperature or weight

VECTOR QUANTITY :
It has more than one number associated with it. a simple example is velocity. it has a magnitude is called speed.
