Hey mate

Here is your answer

Self inductance is phenomenon by which a coil induces an emf in itself. It occurs in a single coil.

Whereas mutual inductance is the phenomenon when a coil induces an emf in itself due to another coil. It takes place in two coils.

Hope this will help you

Mark as brainliest if it helped

Thanks

Answer:

When changing current in one coil induces an EMF in the other, the phenomenon is called mutual induction. The strength of the EMF induced depends on the mutual inductance of the pair of coils. The S.I. unit of mutual inductance is Henry, the same as that of self-inductance
