Difference between strategy formulation, management control, and task control are given below:

Strategy formulation:

  • It is the job of the top management for identifying the goals and strategies for the organisation and it is a long term process.  
  • The strategic planning sets the objective and guideline for management control.  
  • Strategy formulation takes place at the higher level of the management and it involves creating the policies and the strategies which are ultimately implemented with the help of management control.

Management control:

  • It is the method which contains formal and informal systems for coordinating and managing various activities.  

Task control:

  • It ensures that the activities and tasks are carried out properly.
  • Task control is related to individual tasks which involve the individual and their interaction with others which are coordinated effectively by management control.
