  1. the the first major difference is that the Earth is a planet and the moon is a merely satellite orbiting earth.
  2. all satellites are smaller in diameter when compared to planets, and also have different atmosphere and conditions.
  3. the moon is incapable of supporting life while the earth is capable in supporting life.
  4. there is no gravity on moon while the while on Earth there is a gravity.
  5. there there is neither oxygen nor water on the surface of moon while the Earth has sufficient amount of Oxygen and water.
