Answer:
i) Zinc nitrate on heating forms zinc oxide which is yellow when hot and white when cold . Copper nitrate on heating forms a black residue of copper oxide.
ii) SO2 reacts with acidified potassium permanganate and decolourises it while it reacts with acidified potassium dichromate causing change in colour from orange to green. However , CO2 has no reaction with potassium permangante and potassium dichromate.
