Differences between Ahoms and Gonds:-
1) Ahoms were the migrants of the Brahmaputra Valley from present day Myanmar and Yunnan Province of China. They originally belonged to Tai-Mongoloid breed. While the Gonds were not migrants. They lived in vast forested region called Gondwana.
2) Ahoms expanded their rule by wedging war against the kingdoms of various tribes. While Gonds were influenced by the Rajputs. In order to gain power and recognition, they had marriage alliances with Rajputs.
3) The Ahoms spoke Assamese language. While the Gonds spoke Gondi language, which is very much similar to the Telugu language. They also spoke Dravidian language.
