The distinction between the internal notion and the external notion of traditional security-:
- Internal security deals with the provision of security within a nation and previously was not given much heed as such whereas External notion the threats or danger is from another foreign nation.
- Internal one signifies peace, harmony and proper conduction of order from within by protecting it and on the other hand, the External one deals with preserving sovereignty, territories, independence and integrity from foreign nations.
- In internal notion, two things take place which is either one adjusts to internal demands or suppresses them. In the External notion, all the policies are in accordance with defence, alliance and power balance.
- Internal wars have increased while external ones have reduced making internal notions a big concern for nations regarding security.
- If the wars become too engaged then they can be settled or can be dealt with the help of a central organisation that is mainly the ruling government body but in case of external wars, there is no organisation which works on the settlement and only organisations like United Nations act as a force of peace and settlement.
