Distinguish between the mountains of Northern India and The hills of Peninsular India​

The difference is mainly due to the geological structure of tnis places. Peninsular india is a stable part of the Indo australian plate of the very old geological age, while himalayan mountains are very young and unstable. This is the reason for permanent earthquakes there.

☛ Mountains of North India have very high altitude but peninsular have less altitude. rivers are formed in North India hills but not in south india. climate is cool in North but not in south.
