Answer:
Explanation:
Central and South America produced three highly advanced native civilizations. The Mayans, Aztecs and Incas all produced advanced archictecture and all three had an advanced (for the time) understanding of mathmatics, astronomy, medicine and other sciences.
In fact, despite the myth of them being savages, there were really only three fields in which the Mesoamerican civilizations were substantially behind the Europeans: Metal working, sea-faring, and weapons technology.
In other fields, the Mesoamerican civilizations seem to be far ahead of their European counterparts. Certainly in astronomy, and a case could be made for architecture as well.
In North America however, the natives seem to have been quite far behind in almost all technologies. Why is this?
Why were the South American civilizations so advanced but the North American ones were not?
Was it environmental conditions? cultural conditions? economic conditions? A difference in available resources?
