TRANSVERSE WAVES:-
1.the particles of medium oscillates perpendicular to the direction of propogation of wave
2they propogate through crests and troughs
3.they can propogate on solids and on liquid surfaces only
LONGITUDINAL WAVES:-
1.particles of medium oscillates along the direction of the propogation of the waves
2.they propogate through compression and rarefactions
3.these waves can propogate through all 3 states of matter.
