The tropic of cancer is the northern most latitude on the earth where the sun can appear directly overhead.


Whereas the Tropic of Capricorn is the southernmost latitude where the sun can appear directly overhead.


The tropic of cancer is positioned at 23.4 degrees north of equator whereas tropic of Capricorn is positioned 23.4 degree south of equator
