Tropical evergreen forest :

1) tropical means 'Tropical region' and evergreen means 'green leaves throughout the year'

2) they are found in the western slop of the western ghats, hills of the north east region and the Andaman and nicobar island

3) usually occurs in areas having an annual mean temp. of 22 degree C. and annual rainfall of over 200 cm

Tropical deciduous forest :

1)Tropical means tropical region and deciduous means plants, trees that shed leaves each year

2)they are usually found in both tropical and sub tropical region.

3) they are also known as monsoon forest leaves grow during monsoon and she'd during summer.

4) these forest occurs in places that receive rainfall between 70 to 200 cm

5) based on the availability of water , tropical deciduous forest is sub divided into;

a) moist deciduous forest.

b) dry deciduous forest.
