distinguish between vertical and slanting rays?

vertical rays are narrow straight, that is 90' and slanting rays are some what cross, that is about 45' to 50'. The sun rays are some what cross about to 50' angle. when a water falls from a mountain it is about to 90'.and it is narrow.
