Difference between n-butane and cyclo-butane:
n-butane:
- n-butane is the isomer of butane.
- It is the highly flammable hydrocarbon gas that is liquified through pressurization.
- It is a colourless gas.
- When there is plenty of oxygen, butane burns to form water vapour and carbon dioxide.
- When oxygen is limited, carbon monoxide is formed.
Cyclobutane:
- Cyclobutane is a derived form of butane.
- It is a "simple alicyclic hydrocarbon"(), light inflammable gas.
- Cyclobutane is a circular structure.
