Infectious diseases:-
1). they are transmitted from one person to the another i.e. from infected to a healthy person.
2). they are mainly caused by agents known as pathogens such as bacteria virus ,fungi Protozoa ,and helminthes, etc.
Example filariasis ,ringworm, amoebiasis ,malaria dengue ,common cold, typhoid and pneumonia
Non infectious diseases:-
1). these are the diseases that cannot be transmitted from one person to another.
2). they are not caused by pathogens these occur mainly either by the nutritional deficiency our genetic inheritance example cancer ,Scurvy etc.
