Explanation:

Density is mass per unit Volume i.e. (that means)

Density = Mass/Volume

whereas,

Relative density is mass of substance divided by mass of water

Relative D. = Mass of substance/Mass of water ( like any other liquid)

The S.I. unit is kg/m3(cube or cubic metres)
