Let one part = x
Second part = 3x - 7
x + 3x - 7 = 45
4x = 45 + 7
4x = 52
x = 52/4
x = 13
Therefore ,
Required parts are ,
One part = x = 13
Second part = 3x - 7
= ( 3 × 13 ) - 7
= 39 - 7
= 32
