let the three parts be x y z

1/2 of x = 1/3 of y = 1/6 of z

let take a constant k

now 1/2 of x = k, so x = 2k

similarly 1/3 of y = k, y = 3k

1/6 of z = k, z = 6k

now sum them up

2k + 3k + 6k = 1870

11k = 1870

k = 1870/11

k = 170

1 part = 170

now x/2 = y/3

x/y = 2/3

similarly y/3 = z/6

y/z = 3/6

so we have x:y:z = 2:3:6

now x = 2 * 170 = 340

y = 3 * 170 = 510

z = 6 * 170 = 1020

x:y:z = 340:510:1020

Let equal part be "x"
> first part = 2x
> second part = 3x
> third part = 6x
As sum total of all parts = 1870
Therefore 2x+3x+6x = 1870
> 11x = 1870
So x = 1870/11 > 170 Ans
