Let the two parts be x and 19-x Now x²+(19-x)²=193 x²+361+x²-38x=193 2x²-38x+168=0 x²-19x+84=0 x=(19±√361-336)/2 x=(19±√25)/2 x=(19+5)/2. Or. x=(19-5)/2 x=12 or x=7
