Answer :

Let the Sudha's and tanvy's share be 1/2x and 1/3x respectively.

According to the question ;

 \frac{1}{2} x +  \frac{1}{3} x = 35 \\  \\  \frac{3x + 2x}{6}  = 35 \\  \\ 5x = 35 \times 6 \\  \\ x =  \frac{35 \times 6}{5}  \\  \\ x = 7 \times 6 \\  \\ x = 42

Now, the Sudha's and tanvy's share:

  • Sudha's share = 1/2 * 42 = 21
  • Tanvy's share = 1/3 * 42 = 14

Hence, Sudha's share is 21 and tanvy's share is 14.

Let the Sudha and tanvy sweet to 1/2x and 1/3x

Then,

1/2x+1/3x=35

5/6x=35

x=(35×6)/5

x=42

Sudha sweets=1/2x=(1/2)×42=21

Tanvy sweets=1/3x=(1/3)×42=14
