divide 414 into three part such that first one is 2/5 of the second and the ratio between second and third is 5:7

Let the ratio of three parts be x:y:z

we know, that, x = 2/3 y ; x/y = 2/3; x:y = 2:3

we also know that y:z = 5:7

lets make y equal in both equations : 3 * 5 = 15

in equation 1- x:y = 2:3 = 2*5 : 3*5 = 10 : 15 ; in equation 2 - y : z = 5 :7 = 5*3 :7*3 =15 :21

so equation formed = x : y : z = 10 : 15 : 21

the sum of ratios = 10 + 15 + 21 =46

x = 10/46 * 414 = 90

y = 15/46 * 414 = 135

z= 21/46 * 414 = 189

1st part = Rs.90

2nd part = Rs. 135

3rd part = Rs. 189
