Then Seema's share =500-x

According to the question

1/3 of Fatima's share=1/2 of seema's share

1/3×x=1/2×500-x

x/3=500-x/2

By cross multiplication

2x=3 (500-x)

2x=1500-3x

2x+3x=1500

5x=1500

x=1500/5

x=300

Therefore Fatima's share =Rs 300

Seema's share=500-300

=Rs 200
