Divide $96 between two girls in the ratio of their ages , 6 years and 10 years

Let the ratio be 3x and 5x

•°• 3x + 5x = $96

=> 8x = 96

=> x = 12

•°• First girl gets = 3x = 3×12 =$ 36

Second girl gets = 5x= 5×12=$ 60
