Here's your answer....

Length of the line ab is 12 c.m

We need to divide it in 2:3

Suppose the ration amount is 2x : 3x.

The some of the both ratio amount is equal to the length of the line.

So,

2x + 3x = 12 c.m

5x = 12 c.m

x = 2.4

Now, Put the value of x in ratio.

=> 2x : 3x

=> 2 (2.4) : 3 (2.4)

=> 4.8 : 7.2

So, The division of line ab in ratio 2:3 is 4.8 c.m : 7.2 c.m
