Let the larger part be x

Total length = 560 cm

Smaller part = 560-x

Now we are given that twice the length of smaller part is equal to1/3 of larger part .

\Rightarrow 2(560-x)=\frac{1}{3}x

\Rightarrow 1120-2x=\frac{x}{3}

\Rightarrow 3(1120-2x)=x

\Rightarrow 3360-6x=x

\Rightarrow 3360=7x

\Rightarrow \frac{3360}{7}=x

\Rightarrow 480 =x

hence the length of the larger part sis 480 cm
