The British followed the policy of divide and rule to break the integrity and fraternity of INDIA and many such nations.

They sewed seeds of hatred among the people by favouring one particular class or religion.. eg the MUSLIMS.

They described muslims as plunderers to the hindu... and Hindu rulers as cruel to their muslim subjects..
