Let bigger be ₹x
Smaller be ₹y
According to the question,
x+y=1500. -(i)
(x/10)-(2y/25)=60. -(ii)
=>(5x-4y)/50=60
=>5x-4y = 3000. -(iii)
Multiply equation (i) with 4
4x+4y=6000. -(iv)
Add equation (iii) and (iv)
9x=9000
=>x=₹1000
y=1500-x=1500-1000=₹500
Therefore, the larger part is ₹1000
And smaller part is ₹500

Answer:

Large part x = 1000

Smaller part (1500-x) = 500

Step-by-step explanation:

Let large part be x

Then smaller part = 1500-x

As per given condition

x(10/100) = (1500-x)8/100 + 60

x(18/100) = 15*8 + 60

x (6/100) = 5*8 + 20

x (3/50) = 40 + 20

x = (60/3)*50

x = 1000

Large part x = 1000

Smaller part (1500-x) = 500
