Minerals are naturally occuring inorganice substances which have definite physical and chemical composition. There are 2 types of minerals: 1. Mettalic Minerals and 2. Non-mettalic Minerals.
1. Mettalic Minerals are those which have metal in them. These are of 2 types *Ferrous and *Non-ferrous.
Ferrous- Those mettalic minerals which have some ammount of iron in them are called ferrous. eg. manganese and iron ore.
Non-ferrous- Those mettalic minerlas which dont have iron content in them. eg. copper, alluminium, etc.
2.Non-Mettalic are those minerlas which dont have metal in them. eg. limestone and mica
