----------------------------------------

Here is the solution:

----------------------------------------

Let one part be x

The other part is 8000 - x

Form equation for x:

1 year interest = 0.08x

5 years interest = 0.08 x 5 = 0.4x

Form the equation for 8000 - x:

1 year interest at 3% = 0,03(8000 - x )

8 years interest = 8 x 0,03(8000 - x )

8 years interest = 0.24(8000 - x )

Solve x:

0.4x =  0.24(8000 - x )

0.4x = 1920 - 0.24x

0.64x = 1920

x = Rs 3000

Find the amount:

first part (8% interest for 5 years) = Rs 3000

second part (3% interest for 8 years) = 8000 - 3000 = Rs 5000

Answer: The 2 parts are Rs 3000 and Rs 5000

Greetings...!!

Kindly find the solution of the question asked by you in the following attachment . But before that please have a look at the following formulas :

i) SI = (P*R*T)/100

ii)P=(SI*100)/R*T

iii)T=(SI*100)/R*P

iv)R=(SI*100)/P*T

v)Amount = SI + P
