Diwali also called "DEEPAWALI" is an Indian festival which is celebrated mostly by Hindus on the return of Lord Rama ,after killing the demon Ravana,on his return to his homeland of Ayodhya.On this day the residents of Ayodhya welcomed Rama by lighting Ghee Diyas,therefore it is marked by the "festival of lights".The festival is one of the favourites of not only hindus but also each citizen of India as people burst crackers after the worship of lord Ganesha and Goddess Laxmi. People exchange their greetings by giving sweets to their neighbours and relatives.All these events make Diwali one of the most awaited festival of India.
