Answer :

Given :-

  • Diya deposit 8000 rupees in a bank, which gives 10% interest compounded half yearly after 2 years, she withdraw 5000.

To Find :-

  • After one year how much rupees would she have in her account.

Formula :-

Simple Interest = Principal x Rate x Time / 100

Amount = Simple Interest + Principal

Solution :-

Given :-

  • Principal = 8000
  • Rate of interest = 10%
  • Time = 2 years

According to the question by using the formula we get,

 s.l = \frac{8000 \:  \times  \: 10 \:  \times  \: 2}{100}

s.l =  \frac{16000}{100}

s.l = 160

Again we have to find the value of amount,

Amount = 160 + 8000

Amount = Rs. 8160

Hence, the total money she have in her account is Rs. 8160.

Hope my answer will help you!
