Given :

Length of a Rectangle = 8 cm longer than Width

According to the question :

Let the Width be ' w '

so Length will be = 8 + w

Then width will be = 2w

Total Area of a Rectangle = width × length

= w × ( 8 + w )

= 2w ( 8 + 2w )

= 16w + 4w^2 - w^2

= 3w^2 + 16w.
