Incomplete flowers;Structurally, flower consist of four main parts:the sepals, petals, stamens & pistils.Any flower that does not have one more of these parts is considered to be an incomplete flower.
Sepals are leaf-like,usually green,& form a circle around the stem beneath the petal. They function to enclose & protect the flower while it's developing.Petals are the leaf-like,usually colorful structures arranged in a circle around the top of flower stem.Their primary functions is to attract pollinators for the purpose of reproduction.Stamens are the male reproductive structures of flowers,& pistils are the female reproductive structures.
Examples of incomplete flowers are squash plants, sweet corn,American holly & most grasses.
Complete flowers;according to their structures, some flowers-like roses-are considered to be complete, while others are classified as incomplete. For a flower to be considered complete it must have four parts i.e sepals, petals, stamens & pistils.
