• Around 89,000 species of animals and different types of fish are found in fresh and sea water in India.

Huh. Natural vegetation means that part of the vegetation that is produced on its own without the help of humans and does not have human influence on it for a long time. (It is also called the intact vegetation) * The vegetation which is basically Indian is called indigenous plant and the plant which has come from outside India

Foreign plants are called. • Deciduous forests are found in the sandy soils of the desert and in the delta region of rivers. Coniferous forests are found in mountain dunes where the soil layer is deep.

• The following types of natural vegetation are found in India: - (1) tropical lush forest (1) warm lush deciduous forest (iii) warm lush forested forest (iv) hilly forest (1) mangrove forest • in tropical lush tropical rain forest Some trees of commercial importance are found such as Abun (Ebony), Mahogany, Rosewood, Rubber and Cinchona.

• Tropical deciduous forests are the largest forested area in India, they are also called monsoon and they are spread in areas where 70 cm. 200 cm from It rains till. (These forests are found in Jharkhand, West Orissa Chhattisgarh)

• The most prominent species in the tropical deciduous forests is teak and some trees of commercial importance are found such as

• Areas of warm intertidal forest receive less than 70 cm of rainfall and are found in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

• The main plant species of Acacia, date palm (palm), euphorbia and hawthorn (Caquetai) in the areas of tropical intertidal forest

• Ganga - Sundari trees are found in the Brahmaputra delta from which strong wood is obtained. Coconut, palm, Kyoda, Vengar

Trees are also found in these parts. The Royal Bengal Tiger of this region is a famous animal. Some plants commonly used for medicine in India are: (0) Sarpagandha (1) Jamun (i) Arjuna (IV) Babul (v) Neem (vi) Tulsi plant (V) Kachnar. India is rich in different kinds of animal wealth, 89,000 species of animals are found here. More than 1,200 in the country

Species of birds are found. They are 13% of the total world. There are 2,500 species of fish here in the world.

Are about 12%. • Amphibian reptiles and mammalian animals are found in 5 to 8 percent of the world in India.
