Do basic solutions also have H⁺(aq) ions? If yes, then why are these basic?

yes bases have h+ ions in their aqueous solution but concentration of h+ is much less than OH-ion.

When a base is dissolved in water or H2O, it will always produce both H+ and OH- ions.


Although for a solution to be basic, the concentration of H+ ions is much less when compared to the concentration of OH- ions.


These OH- ions is what makes the solution basic.
