Step-by-step explanation:

1) d= b^2 - 4ac

acc this a=1,b=-2,c=k

d= 4-4k ans.

2) discernment = b^2-4ac

= 1-4×1×1

= -3

since discernment is negative ..so the roots are unequal and not real .In this case roots are imaginary.

3) kx(x-2)+6=0

kx^2-2kx+6=0

b^2-4ac = 4k-4×k×6

=4k -24k

now for real roots in quadratic eq d=0

b^2-4ac=0

k=0
