hey dear here is your answer:-

most of the plants, shrubs, herbs etc release CO2 at night as phorosynthesis is not taking place.
some plants like tulsi etc don't release CO2 at all

yes the plants do release CO2 gas but at night
at the day time they do photosynthesis and release O2
