Kharif crops are sown in april - may they require certain temperature and irrigation throughout that is why they are sown in these months they require water but not in a bulk amount it depends upon the crop been sown such as rice require alot of water and are initially sown in flooded water fields but the cotton crop dosenot require that much water as the rice field dose. Hence, kharif crops require water but it depends upon the crop that is to be sown.
